Have fruit. Will travel.

When I wandered across France solo, I always kept a bag of peaches attached to my bag or luggage for picnicking along riverbanks and on the immaculate gardens of palaces.  The scent of peaches would follow me, lingering on my hands after I’d eat one.

This evening after work, I picked up a bunch of lychees (my first bunch of fresh lychees!!!), and ripe red orange mangoes.  Tucked them into my backpack and hopped off to class.  Through the subway rides, I could smell the sweetness of the lychees, and the slight tang of the mangoes.

Traveling with fruit in tow makes me feel prepared and happy.  They’re like sweet yummy presents for myself.

I need to make that a habit here I think.

I was going to take photographic representation of them, but my batteries have decided to give up.  My camera seems to be ready to give up around now too.  The LCD has been smearing on a slow descent downwards, turning purple, before jerking itself up again to make quasi-clear pictures.  The few shots that have been caught in the purple-descent have been kind of interesting.  Not necessarily aesthetically pleasing, but interesting.
